It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! No, it’s Montgomery County’s own Energy Heroes, saving energy and fighting the good fight.
Congratulations to all of our Energy Heroes from November! We heard from several of you about the different actions you’re taking in your home to reduce energy use and help preserve our environment.
We’re featuring the 3 winning Energy Heroes below, selected through our drawing to win prizes and recognition!
David from Takoma Park is using a blower door test to collect data on the efficiency of a home, helping identify ways to save energy and be more comfortable in the wintertime.
Robyn is helping recruit for the Temple Sinai Solar Coop, which allows an entire community to buy solar together for a better price.
Skippy Jon Jones, a furry canine companion of Gina, does his part to turn off the lights and reminds his family to change their air filter every three months. Now, that’s an energy-smart pup!
Our three drawing winners will be receiving a gift of 2 LED light bulbs to help them lock in even more energy savings.
If you entered a photo but didn’t get selected in the drawing, have no fear! You will be automatically entered for the grand prize drawing to receive a Sustainability Kit of Awesomeness!
Are you doing something to save energy at home? Then you’re an Energy Hero! Let us know your story by December 31 to be eligible for our next drawing in January.
Just snap a picture of how you or your family save energy at home and submit it to us one of 3 ways:
Congrats to our Heroes and keep up the great work!
