Montgomery Energy Connection, a program led by the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), is proud to announce a new partnership with the Montgomery County Office of Broadband Programs, via County Cable Montgomery.

Under this agreement, the Office of Broadband Programs will produce Home Energy Hacks – short, informative videos providing residents with quick and easy tips to lower energy use in their homes.

The videos will be released on the 18th of each month on multiple social media platforms. DEP and County Cable Montgomery will post the videos on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. County Cable Montgomery will also house the videos on their YouTube Page.

This new partnership brings another County agency into the Montgomery Energy Connection program – a network of more than thirty County agencies, local organizations, and businesses working together to spread the message about home energy efficiency in our community. Montgomery Energy Connection’s mission is to provide all county residents with user-friendly, energy-saving resources to improve their daily lives and preserve a healthy environment for future generations.

The DEP and Office of Broadband Programs partnership is a new approach to engaging the community through video and social media, and exemplifies the creative measures needed to reach the public. These videos will be produced to help residents lower their utility bill costs and help them keep money in their pockets.

You can see all videos on the Home Energy Hack YouTube page.
