Introducing Montgomery Energy Connection’s LEDs and Libations 2.0
In celebration of October Energy Awareness Month, we are excited to bring back LEDs and Libations. For the last three years, we have been partnering with various organizations and businesses to make sure we are meeting Montgomery County residents where they go. We found a lot of people at breweries so we created Brews and Bulbs events to meet beer drinkers and we this year we are expanding that again to meet people at ABS locations.
Maryland Made is a logo you will find at ABS locations to let you know which beers, wines, and spirits were Made in Maryland. If you want to learn more about Maryland Made products, please visit Maryland Distillers Guild for their Maryland Cocktail Menu or the Maryland Wineries Association or even the Brewers Association of Maryland. All of these organizations do a tremendous job of providing resources that increase awareness about Maryland’s libation industry, promoting our local economy, and stimulating engagement within our communities.
With every purchase of Maryland-Made beer, wine or liquor, you can receive a free LED light bulb (while supplies last). LEDs use up to 90% less energy to deliver the same amount of light as an old fashioned incandescent bulb and they last 10 to 25 times longer. In fact, one LED bulb is known to last 50,000 hours – that is almost 11 years when you use it for 8 hours a day.
And just think, the money that is saved on utility bills can be kept in your pocket and spent on the libations you love.
You just visit one of the 26 ABS locations during the month of October (and while supplies last), purchase your favorite Maryland Made libation, and ask for the LED at the register. That’s it.
