Hello everyone,

For all of us, 2020 was a challenging year.  I know we all are looking forward to an end to the COVID-19 pandemic and a return to normalcy.

Despite the challenges, the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection worked hard to keep our commitment to you and the County where we live, work, and play.

From educating and engaging our community, to reducing energy usage and lowering bills, improving our watersheds, and reducing litter and waste, we successfully pivoted where we needed to and made adjustments to keep our important work moving forward.

As we look to our work ahead in 2021, we wanted to share our 2020 Year in Review.

Thank you for your partnership and your stewardship in making our County greener.

We are all in this together!

Adam Ortiz

Director, Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection

What about the rain collection program where you have the rain barrels available to take home. I am hoping you would be able to provide virtual training or sessions as you used to have, and allow for pick up of rain barrel after completing the training with a small fee. I am looking forward to see that still available. Thank you.
