The Wheaton Arts Parade Could Use Your Creativity To Help With This Year’s Float.

This year we are focusing on plastic bags and straws as this material is not recyclable. In addition, as of May 21, 2021 plastic straws were banned in Montgomery County.

Wheaton Arts Parade Float

The Final Sunday Workshop & Open house

Date: August 22 from 1-4PM.

Location: @Art Factory, Westfield Wheaton Mall, 11006 Viers Mill Rd., 20902 (Next to AMC Cinemas)

Refreshments will be provided.

Homemade crafts can be dropped off at the Art Factory in Wheaton Mall.

The workshop part of the “Pyramids 2021” Art Exhibition and will be led by Wheaton Arts Parade Artists Peijisan Art (Paige Friedeman) & Mary Del Bianco ~ the same artists are once again focusing on the reuse of plastics to make an environmental statement while simultaneously creating an art sculpture as a parade float for the upcoming Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival on September 19, 2021.

You can make parts of the float at home with household, non-recyclable items and drop them off as donations.

Already made crafts will help us assemble much easier – these are the easy projects to do from home!
