The Exelon STEM Leadership Academy is a free, week-long program held at the University of Maryland campus.  Learn from women working in STEM and business leaders. Visit energy facilities. Explore sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change.  Connect with like-minded peers.

Young women currently in 10th or 11th grade (class of 2022 and 2023) are invited to apply for the 2021 Exelon STEM Leadership Academy.

Successful applicants will spend the week housed at University of Maryland attending educational sessions, improving leadership and professional skills, and tackling a weeklong group challenge.  Young women will have the opportunity to meet business and community leaders and converse with women currently working in STEM.

Eligibility:

  • Young women currently in 10th or 11th grade (Class of 2022 or 2023)
  • Young women live in Washington DC, or Baltimore City, Ann Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George’s Counties Maryland

Free to attend

  • All participants will live on campus, supervised by STEM Academy mentors during the Academy.
  • All meals will be provided during the Academy.
  • All participants will receive an iPad to use during the Academy.
  • All participants will receive t-shirts to wear during the Academy.
