Montgomery County is partnering with Climate Stories Project, and local community-based organizations and networks, to offer a free, virtual three-part training program to help you tell your climate story! Everyone has a climate change story. Tell your climate story and inspire others to take action to confront the climate crisis.
Become a Climate Stories Ambassador:
Let elected officials know how climate change impacts you and your community
Let your voice and the voices of your neighbors, friends, and relatives be heard
Inspire actions that improve health, resiliency, the environment, and quality of life
Benefits of becoming a Climate Stories Ambassador:
Understand the impacts of climate change on your community and the importance of storytelling to promote community-based solutions
Learn techniques for writing, recording, and editing stories
Learn how to plan and write your own story and interview others to capture their climate stories
Gain valuable environmental communication and advocacy skills
Earn $100 for each story you submit (up to $300)
Registration is closed.
Trainees must participate in all three online sessions and receive one-on-one editing assistance from Climate Stories Project (date and time to be determined by trainee and Climate Stories Project). Total in-class and out-of-class time is estimated to be about 10 to 12 hours over the course of four weeks.
My Green Montgomery is a project of the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. It is a service to help Montgomery County residents think and live in a way that safeguards and sustains the health of our people, our county, and the planet.
