HORT 135 Stormwater Maintenance
(lecture will meet on-line, portions of lab will meet on-line and some will meet at the Germantown Campus)
1 semester hour
Learn from instructor Rick Scaffidi how to perform inspection, minor repairs and maintenance of plant materials surrounding bio-retention facilities and similar Low Impact Development (LID) techniques according to Montgomery County and Maryland State guidelines. Other topics include planning, reading, and developing a maintenance plan for bio-retention facilities. Portions of the course will be held outdoors.
