FeBREWary 2026: Montgomery County Bulb Crawl

January 30, 2026
  |

Join us this year for our first official 💡 BULB CRAWL 💡

It’s like a pub crawl, but BRIGHTER because we focus on bulbs!

Why are we doing these events? Because lighting accounts for around 12 percent of an average home’s electricity use. If you switch out your bulbs, you can save around $225 per year just by switching to LEDs.  For us, lighting is the entry point into the home, and, like beer, lightbulbs come in all different hues.Lighting is also a great way to start conversations about comfort, efficiency, and keeping homes coozie (yes, that’s intentional).

What to expect at these events? When you attend these events, you will not only enjoy local brews from small businesses right in your own County but can also chat with contractors about simple energy-saving upgrades they can make to keep their homes more comfortable.

Additionally, the first 25 people at each event will receive a coozie (while supplies last) because it’s not only important to keep your drinks frosty but also your home well insulated. At the Montgomery Energy Connection table, we will also share information on how residents can “kick gas” and switch to electric options in their homes.
