The Women of Maryland Fitness Group (WMFG) is excited to bring Montgomery County a unique 5K walk /run event. Wear your saree and walk or run 5K along the Carl Henn Millenium Trail across Thomas S. Wootton High School, Rockville. They ask you to run in a Saree as mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, great grandmothers have run in these garments before us. Join them to challenge a misconception that you can’t run in a Saree.
To make it a family-friendly event, they also encourage men to participate in their dhotis or lungis and children to dress in any traditional attire!
Montgomery Energy Connection will be there to provide information on how to lower utility bills and keep money in your pockets!
