The Audubon Naturalist Society is hosting the 4th Naturally Latinos Conference. This year’s theme is Otro mundo es posible/Another world is possible. This online and in-person event features a full schedule of panel discussions, including: “Land Acknowledgement & Indigeneity in the Latinx Community,” “Hecho por Manos Verdes, The Role of Latinos in the Watershed Restoration Movement,” “How to Be An Advocate 101,” “Healthy Trees, Healthy Cities: Learn to Use Innovative Urban Forestry Tools in Your Community,” “Urban Agriculture: Growing, Sharing, Learning in Community” and more. Naturally Latinos co-chair Serenella Linares called the conference “a place for Latine professionals to come together & have our voices centered, CELEBRATED.”
The conference will run approximately 11 am – 3 pm ET Tuesday – Thursday online, and 10 am – 5 pm ET on Friday at the Silver Spring Civic Center (Silver Spring, MD) and online. Saturday outdoor experiences will take place at 10 am ET in the Washington, DC area. You must purchase a “Hybrid” ticket to have access to the Friday & Saturday in-person activities.
