Arbor Day Celebration
The Wheaton Urban District and the Department of Environmental Protection are proud to host the 2023 Arbor Day Celebration. Please join County Executive Marc Elrich and County Council, other government leaders, civic leaders, environmental stewards, and community members to celebrate Arbor Day.
To celebrate Arbor Day, the County is planting a tree in Veterans Park as part of our work to create tree canopies and encourage tree planting to help the environment, beautify communities, and improve mental health.
Join us at Veterans Park in downtown Wheaton on Friday, April 28th at 4:00 pm for a ceremonial tree planting and proclamation. We will also have a raffle for a free tree and some light refreshments.
