Building Energy Performance Standards: Discussion of Proposed Legislation
This session is an opportunity for architects to learn the details of Montgomery County’s (Maryland) proposed legislation on Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS), and to provide feedback on the measure. Montgomery County has been developing this legislation as part of its overall Climate Action Plan, and a few AIA Potomac Valley members have been participating in that process. This briefing, which will be provided by officials from the County’s Department of Environmental Protection, offers our full membership the opportunity to learn the scope of the BEPS legislation and how it will affect buildings in the County. Members will be able to ask questions and provide feedback. 1 LU/HSW Available.
