The public event highlights the importance of civic responsibility and community engagement for climate resilience (mitigation and adaptation) sustainable environment and commonwealth. The speakers for the event are Stan Edwards – Chief of the Division of Energy, Climate, & Compliance in the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, Joseph F. Beach- Deputy General Manager of Administration, WSSC Water, Jodi Rose – Executive Director, Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake and Ian Hamilton, Environmental Officer for the U.S. Baha’i’ Office of Public Affairs in the United States.

After guest speaker presentations on the civic roles and community responsibilities of local governments, water utility companies and faith communities/civil society, comments and discussions of the way forward – based on unity and cooperation- will be invited.
