Climate, Community & You: Environmental Film Series

One Montgomery Green and Brookside Gardens present a film series about the science of climate change, its impact on communities and what you can do.
October 2: “Paris to Pittsburgh” — National Geographic Documentary — As the weather grows more deadly and destructive, Americans are demanding solutions to climate change — and they aren’t waiting on Washington to act.
October 9: “The Ballad of Holland House” — Tells the true story of the last house on a sinking island in the Chesapeake Bay.
“High Tide in Dorchester” — A powerful, intimate story that looks at a worsening global threat through the lens of Chesapeake Bay’s most vulnerable county.
Popcorn and drinks available.
October 23: “Caring About Climate Change”— Produced by Montgomery County youth from Gandhi Brigade Youth Media
“Waterways of Ellicott City” — Produced by Lansdowne High School students and focuses on the historic flooding in Ellicott City.
