Looking for fun activities for your kids? Or how about a new wildlife documentary film screening? Or maybe, a workshop on gardening or bike repair? Our calendar features upcoming community events for those who enjoy a mix of outdoors, activism, creativity, and learning.
The Montgomery County Food Council cordially invites you to attend our virtual Food Sovereignty Panel Discussion on Friday, April 30th, from 10-11:30AM. Our discussion will focus on food sovereignty, identifying systemic racial inequities in our local food system, and ways we can collaboratively elevate resident voices in community programs. Our four panelists for this event are community members who are leading and organizing incredible work to advance urban agriculture, sustainable food systems, and celebrate local food resilience.
Our moderator for this event will be Kim McBride, Vice President of Community Health at Holy Cross Health. Presentations from each panelist will be followed by a moderated discussion and a Q&A session.
We look forward to seeing you at our Food Sovereignty Panel Discussion on April 30th! Please contact Danny at Daniel@mocofoodcouncil.org if you have any questions.
