Montgomery County, MD is the latest jurisdiction to propose Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS).
Amendments to the County’s Energy Benchmarking Law will cover additional building sizes and types and set clear targets for existing building performance and offers a way to meaningfully reduce emissions.
Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection will share changes to the benchmarking law, outline features of the proposed legislation, and highlight the innovative “trajectory approach” central to the bill.
This session has been approved for 1.5 general GBCI Continuing Education credits.
