Visit two Zero Net Energy (ZNE) Schools currently under construction in Baltimore City! Graceland Park/O’Donnell Heights ES/MS and Holabird ES/MS are both designed to be zero net energy with the help of a grant from the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) and when completed in 2020, will be the second and third ZNE schools in the State of Maryland. Joint Baltimore City Public Schools, the Design Team, and the General Contractor for a brief introduction to the programming, design, construction, and operational opportunities and challenges these prototype/repeat school projects have encountered and then take a hard hat tour of the construction site and learn about the high performance strategies employed to take these public K-Grade 8 schools from LEED Silver to ZNE.
