Looking for fun activities for your kids? Or how about a new wildlife documentary film screening? Or maybe, a workshop on gardening or bike repair? Our calendar features upcoming community events for those who enjoy a mix of outdoors, activism, creativity, and learning.
Park(ing) day is a global, public, day where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.
Join the Wheaton Urban District, Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, Montgomery County Recreation, Montgomery Parks, Montgomery Energy Connection and One Montgomery Green on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 12pm to 6pm as an area of parking lot behind building 2425 Reedie Drive is created into a picnic area!
There will be a DJ, Free Italian Ice, Lawn Games, and you can even bring your old incandescent or CFL lightbulbs and exchange them for up to three LED lightbulbs!
