With the state’s laudably ambitious renewable energy goals, Maryland farmers have the ability to lease their lands for commercial solar installations. But at what cost? Join us for a Solar Summit to hear experts and industry perspectives, and to discuss agrivoltaics and the broad impact of solar on Maryland’s food system.
The 2023 MDA Solar Summit is being held on Wednesday, November 29 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m at the Maryland Department of Agriculture Headquarters in Annapolis. Coffee and refreshments will be served beginning at 9:30 a.m., and a light lunch will be served.
Registration is required to accommodate lunch for all guests. To confirm your attendance, please complete the below form and provide any questions/concerns you’d like addressed at the Summit.
Directions to MDA HQ at 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401 can be found via this link. Visitor parking is located at the second entrance (or as department staff says, the second cow!)
For more information about the summit please contact MDA Director of Communications, Jessica Hackett at jessica.hackett2@maryland.gov.
