Join Prince George’s Parks and Recreation, Montgomery Parks, Friends of Sligo Creek (FoSC), and the National Capital PRISM (Partnerships for Regional Invasive Species Management) as we celebrate and recognize National Public Lands Day!
We will be working across the county boundary line removing non-native, invasive vines and shrubs (such as porcelainberry, wintercreeper, English ivy, Japanese barberry, and bush honeysuckle). We will also be participating in FoSC’s Sweep the Creek), removing trash from Sligo Creek Stream Valley and both sides of the park. Trash and non-native plants don’t follow county lines and neither do we! Volunteer with us on Saturday Sept 25th and be part of this exciting, one-of-a-kind partnership!
