The Climate Action Plan also details the effects of a changing climate on Montgomery County and includes strategies to reduce climate-related risk to the County’s residents\, businesses\, and the built and natural environment \nOMG will also introduce its Climate Resilience Project launching in 2021 due in part from a generous donation from Pepco’s Sustainable Communities Grant Program. Pepco\, along with their program administrator\, Rock Creek Conservancy\, launched the Sustainable Communities Grant Program\, providing $125\,000 in grants annually to fund open space and environmental projects and resiliency projects across Pepco’s District of Columbia and Maryland service area. OMG was one of 10 local municipalities\, recreational authorities\, and nonprofits to receive grant funding.
