DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth Kolbert\, staff writer for The New Yorker and author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “The Sixth Extinction\, An Unnatural History\,” will be part of the free Contemporary Conversations series at Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) at 7 p.m. on March 5. Kolbert will participate in a virtual conversation on climate change and how our habits and decisions can make an impact. The conversation will be moderated by Adriana Hochberg\, Climate Change officer for Montgomery County and acting director for the Department of Environmental Protection. \nKolbert is the author of several books about the environment (including “Under a White Sky: The Nature of the Future” and “Field Notes from a Catastrophe”) as well as many articles that have appeared in The New Yorker\, The New York Times Magazine\, Vogue\, and Mother Jones.
