Removing the barriers to clean air\, water\, and the outdoors—many of which are rooted in purposefully discriminatory federal policies—is a crucial and necessary step in charting an equitable path to recovery. From investment in green jobs\, to restoring flood-mitigating wetlands\, to better enforcement of federal pollution safeguards\, our leaders should address the historic disinvestment in these communities on the frontlines of the ongoing public health and climate crises.
