The Department of Environmental Services (DES), Office of Sustainability and Environmental Management (OSEM), which operates as the County’s core agency for climate mitigation, adaptation programs, and community-facing energy programs is seeking an Energy Program Specialist. The employee will support the design, administration and management of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or clean transportation programs and projects under the County’s Community Energy Plan (CEP) and CEP Roadmap with primary responsibility to track and translate Program progress into virtualizations, dashboards and web-based communication. In addition, the position will serve as the liaison for the County’s intra-governmental working group for climate, energy, and resilience. OSEM seeks a climate/energy specialist with technical skills, implementation experience, and a record of cross-disciplinary innovation. This is a growth opportunity as the County drives toward aggressive climate, energy, and greenhouse gas reduction goals.
