HVAC Controls and Energy Management Specialist

About the Role

You will lead full lifecycle project management for our clients, to help them operate their HVAC plants safely and efficiently. This includes pricing, designing, documenting, installing, and commissioning our Energy Management System (EMS) systems and integrating related components. You will use our EMS Software Tools to provide remote and on-site support and you will learn how to use our EMS Analytics tools to help clients save energy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience designing, installing, programming, testing, and maintaining HVAC controls
  • Bachelors in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering, or related discipline (may substitute with an additional 4 years of relevant experience)
  • Experience with hydronic HVAC systems (boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps/motors, etc.)
  • Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with computer programming and IP networking
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis, data visualization, and report writing skills
  • Experience documenting HVAC control systems
  • Familiarity with the principles of electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE Guideline 36, BACnet, Haystack and SkySpark
  • Familiarity with the concepts of Monitoring Based Commissioning and the IMPVP
  • Interest in smart buildings, IoT, energy efficiency/engineering, and sustainability
  • CEM, CMVP, LEED, or similar certifications
