Live Infrastructure Manager for Montgomery County Public Schools – Closes 5/18

Under direction, serves as lead project manager and program manager for horticulture and gardening programs at MCPS facilities and schools; applying advanced and thorough knowledge of horticulture to develop and manage related MCPS programs, including bioretention gardens, green roofs and other live stormwater structures, tree canopies, reforestation and other ecosystem management approaches, forest conservation areas, invasive management, and support of school rainscapes, outdoor classrooms, and other gardens.

Coordinates with state and local government agencies; engages and trains MCPS staff as needed; collaborates with community partners and the Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) to meet MCPS horticulture program development, maintenance and expansion goals. Develops, implements and manages volunteer program and supervises the work of all volunteers relative to the horticulture program. Researches and drafts grants and identifies other funding opportunities and implements programs. Serves as project manager for large-scale retrofits and may supervise contractors or employees.
