Peer review director, NRDC
NRDC is seeking a Director, Peer Review to manage a robust peer review process that ensures the accuracy and clarity of science-based information in all of NRDC’s published materials including reports, briefs, fact sheets, web material and more. Reporting to the Senior Director, Science Integration, the Director, Peer Review will be a member of NRDC’s Science Office and will work closely with the Policy Publications Editor and subject matter experts from across the organization to develop, review and publish scientifically accurate materials that support the mission of NRDC. Successful candidates will have a deep commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and can thrive in fast-paced environments that require flexibility in balancing multiple project demands.

Data Engineer, NRDC
NRDC is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Science team and work in close collaboration with other members of the Science Office and NRDC staff to grow our data science capacity. The ideal candidate will have training and experience with database technologies and management, data structures and algorithms, and the development of automated data workflows. This role requires a candidate that is creative, flexible, thrives in collaborative environments, embraces solving complex and nuanced problems, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Director, Community Access and Engagement, NRDC
Reporting to the Chief Science Officer (with possible secondary reporting to the Environment, Equity, and Justice Center), the Director of Community Access & Engagement will play a critical role in creating and maintaining structures and activities that provide access to NRDCs scientific knowledge and resources for communities that are disproportionately burdened by environmental harms. This is primarily a service-oriented position, designed to leverage scientific tools and resources in support of the goals and objectives of community-led and/or -directed organizations. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in collaborative environments, embraces solving complex and nuanced problems, and is recognized within the environmental and/or social justice movement as a compassionate partner, strategic thinker, and clear communicator. The Director will have opportunities to represent the Science Office internally and externally and will help develop and articulate our strategy for sharing knowledge and supporting community-based work.

Senior Director, Data Science, NRDC
NRDC is seeking a Senior Director for the Data Science division of the Science Office. The Senior Director will provide strategic leadership within and on behalf of the Science Office on topics related to data governance, strategy, analysis, management, and visualization. Reporting to the Chief Science Officer, the Senior Director will play a cross-institutional leadership role to help align the work of the Science Office with institutional strategy. The Senior Director will be an important member of the Science Office leadership team and will work in close collaboration with members of the Science Office and broader NRDC community to develop analytic strategies to inform and assess institutional policy directions. The Senior Director will also help build a collaborative environment for analytical and technical staff and will work with internal and external partners to develop models, data sets, methodologies, and infrastructure to support our technical and policy work.
