Phius Certification Team Member

We are seeking a talented individual join the Phius certification team. The certification team member will manage a varied workload including but not limited to the review of a wide variety of Phius projects of all building typologies throughout all climate zones. The position will report to the certification manager of Phius but will be expected to work independently to achieve goals and targets. The position would ideally be Chicago-based,  however could be located elsewhere for a candidate with the right fit and after having been  trained in the Chicago office for at least three months. Some travel may be required as necessary.

Quality Assurance Associate

The demand for Phius building certification is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Associate. Duties will include evaluating the energy performance of buildings, building enclosures, mechanical systems and construction practices to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while improving indoor environmental quality. Training opportunities will be provided including both course work and On‐the‐Job mentoring.

Phius Communications Intern

We are seeking a talented individual who can support our communications efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: executing specific projects (assembling newsletters), maintaining social media posts, coming up with blog ideas, drafting blogs, assisting in marketing and assisting with a communications plan for an annual conference. Phius offers a dynamic work environment in a small-team setting. Position would require a commitment of 10 hours per week.

Phius Research Intern

Due to dramatic growth, we are seeking an Intern to assist the Phius technical team with a variety of  projects that will help expand the project certification program. These projects range from assisting with research to maintaining our monitored data collection program. Internships are unpaid and require a 3-6 month commitment of 10 hours or more per week. Interns receive Phius’ industry-leading Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC©) training and exam at no cost (the package is ordinarily priced at $2,100).The position will be based in Phius’ Chicago office, with an option for remote work.
