Program Coordinator for Johns Hopkins University’s Environmental Sciences and Policy program

The Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator for the Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy within the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences’ Advanced Academic Programs Division. Reporting to the Program Director for Environmental Sciences and Policy and the Associate Dean for Graduate and Professional Programs, the Program Coordinator will contribute to the excellence of the program and will demonstrate and support ongoing innovation in the curriculum. The Environmental Sciences and Policy program and the Geographic Information Systems program are related and program leadership and faculty work very closely together. The two programs explore a wide array of coursework such as ecosystem science and management, maritime law, land and water conservation, and geographic information systems; and together they are empowering the next generation of environmental leaders. With an ever-growing student body, the Environmental Sciences and Policy program is continually expanding and enhancing its course offerings to meet both academic and practitioner needs. Almost 75% of the courses are offered online, while 25% are onsite either at the JHU Washington, DC Center or the Homewood Campus in Baltimore, MD.

In both academic and administrative roles, the Program Coordinator supports the curriculum, students, and adjunct faculty. The Program Coordinator will have significant interaction/collaboration with the Program Director and other AAP faculty and programs, including the Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate.

The Program Coordinator is a full-time non-tenure-track, 12-month renewable faculty position with the academic title of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, commensurate with experience. The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Director for Environmental Sciences and Policy, and to the Associate Dean for Graduate and Professional Programs.
