Program Directors and Subject Matter Experts, Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Planning
ICMA is seeking a program director and other senior level government and subject matter experts to lead a potential initiative on creating more resilient communities. NOAA has announced the Climate Smart Communities Initiative (CSCI), which will be a major program working with hundreds of communities to create finance-ready resilience plans that are equitable and guided by the best-available science. These positions will be grant funded opportunities that will have a multi-year period of performance, expected to be 4 years. This program is not yet funded. If funded, the expected start date is the summer of 2022.
The ideal candidates will have significant local government leadership and management experience, as well as experience leading or overseeing sustainability, climate adaptation, or resiliency strategic planning efforts in one or more communities. Experience managing or overseeing large federally funded programs in a community or with an organization, while not a requirement, would be preferred.
If you or someone within your network are interested in sharing their resume for this potential new opportunity, please send to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than October 8, 2021. For more information or questions, please contact Tad McGalliard (email@example.com or 443-223-7851).
