The Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) seeks a Project Director to manage various CESA solar initiatives, with immediate work focused on the Scaling Up Solar for Under-Resourced Communities project. That project, which is supported by the US Department of Energy, works with states, utilities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to accelerate the development of solar projects that benefit low-and-moderate-income households and communities. The Project Director will join a dynamic team dedicated to helping states and communities reach their clean energy and climate goals.
Founded in 2002, CESA is a national, nonprofit coalition of public agencies and organizations working together to advance clean energy. CESA members—mostly state agencies—include many of the most innovative, successful, and influential public funders of clean energy initiatives in the country. CESA’s staff works to strengthen state clean energy policies, programs, and innovation, with an emphasis on renewable energy, energy storage, energy equity, and resiliency. CESA is located in Montpelier, VT, with staff located in and outside of Vermont. The Project Director will have the option to work either remotely or in-person in the Montpelier office.
This is a full-time position, with responsibilities commencing immediately upon selection of the most qualified candidate.
The Project Director will carry out project management, outreach, research, writing, presentations, and administrative tasks related to the Scaling Up Solar project and other solar initiatives.
