Information is collected from users who create an account to develop a Green Plan, fill out a form to Contribute Content, or make a comment on a Green Project page or on a blog post. Personal Information When creating an account to develop a Green Plan you will be asked to provide your name, email address, zip code, identify the type of home you live in and state whether you are a homeowner or renter. This allows DEP to analyze basic demographic information about site users so content can be tailored to meet users’ needs. When using a Contribute Content form the data you enter is stored in a secure database and content management system. This allows DEP to review your request, idea or information and contact you to discuss the information you provided. Only the most basic personal information is collected in order to increase your user experience and decrease your personal exposure. Computer IP also logs your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address (the location of your computer on the Internet), date and time of the visit for system administration, troubleshooting and statistical reporting purposes.
