Throughout the year, we will be partnering with community organizations to provide residents with LED lightbulbs. DEP staff host light bulb swaps at libraries and at Summer community events. During the light bulb swaps, participants are asked to bring in their old incandescent or CFL lightbulb. In exchange, we provide up to 3 free LEDs

This summer, DEP is partnering with Montgomery County Libraries to help kids “Build a Better World/Construye un Mundo Mejor.” Every summer there is a different theme for the summer reading program and this year, we are trying to get kids to think about switching to renewable energy as one way to build a better world.
