Our calendar features upcoming community events for those who enjoy a mix of outdoors, activism, creativity, and learning. All event submissions are reviewed for relevancy and accuracy and are posted within 24-48 hours Monday-Friday.
Throughout the year, we will be partnering with community organizations to provide residents with LED lightbulbs. DEP staff host light bulb swaps at libraries and at Summer community events. During the light bulb swaps, participants are asked to bring in their old incandescent or CFL lightbulb. In exchange, we provide up to 3 free LEDs
Energy Express is a summer event for kids and families to learn about energy usage. As a partnership between the Department of Environmental Protection and Montgomery County Public Libraries, these presentations will take place across the County’s libraries as part of the Summer Reading Program. Montgomery Energy Connection, a program of Montgomery County is excited to bring “Lemons & LEDs” to your Library. Join us on Tuesday, July 13th at the Long Branch Library to swap out your old incandescent and compact fluorescent (CFL) lightbulbs. Our motto is “lemons are sour, saving money is sweet!” Come swap your bulbs for
