Montgomery County Government Year-long Climate Fellowship (Hybrid) – Starting July 2024

About the Fellowship

Montgomery County, Maryland, has adopted ambitious and important climate goals. Through the 2017 Emergency Climate Mobilization Resolution, Montgomery County committed to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 80% by 2027 and 100% by 2035. In 2021, the County released a Climate Action Plan detailing the effects of a changing climate on Montgomery County and featuring strategies to reduce GHG emissions and climate-related risks to the County’s residents, businesses, and the built and natural environment while advancing racial equity and social justice.

Montgomery County is seeking climate fellows to join the County’s climate team. This is a competitive year-long, full-time fellowship intended for recent college graduates (though open to everyone) with diverse backgrounds who have strong experience, education, or interest in climate, sustainability, racial equity, and clean energy policy.
