Well, well, well – another Energy Action Month is upon us and all we are asking you to do is ⚡ GO ELECTRIC⚡!

Once you ELECTRIFY, your home will be more comfortable, your indoor and outdoor air quality will be healthier, and your monthly bills will be lower. Oh and did we mention that there is a HELP DESK and MONEY to help you Electrify?? Everything you need to know is in this post!

💰 Electrify MC

Electrify MC is a pilot project created to help residents transition from fossil fuels (oil, gas, and propane) in their homes. Electrify MC will provide residents with a one-stop option to help them electrify their homes.

Elysian Energy, the competitively chosen contractor, will provide outreach and technical support about this project, staff the Help Desk, perform Home Performance with ENERGY STAR audits, provide recommendations for electrification add-ons, and do the direct installations using the financial incentives available through Electrify MC.

If you would like to reduce your monthly utility bills and are concerned about climate and health, it is time to start planning an all-electric home update. Thanks to the IRA savings calculator and Electrify MC can help get you even closer.

🏠 Electrify Your Home

Heat pumps are an ideal, energy-efficient alternative to furnaces, boilers, and air conditioners. Efficient electric water heaters are also an option worth exploring.

💰 Electrify MC program can help homeowners by providing a HELP DESK and direct incentives (up to $2500 for heat pumps/water heaters) to you to help you make the change from gas/propane. Contact Electrify MC by phone at 301-830-5767 or email them at electrifymc@elysianenergy.com.

🥘 Electrify Your Kitchen

One of the ways you can reduce your home’s carbon footprint and help the County meet its climate goals is to switch to induction cooking in your kitchen. Compared to a traditional natural gas stove, induction cooking appliances are better for the environment, use less energy, are fast and efficient, and a safer alternative. Faster. Cleaner. Tastier. Induction stove-loving chef, Justin Lee, makes The New York Times Restaurant List 2023, in his new NJ location. In this video by Rewiring America, the chef explains why you should upgrade to an induction stove.

💰 Electrify MC program can help homeowners by providing a HELP DESK and direct incentives (up to $150 for ovens) to you to help you make the change from gas/propane. Contact Electrify MC by phone at 301-830-5767 or email them at electrifymc@elysianenergy.com.

🚗 Electrify Your Ride

Electric Vehicles are the future of transportation, providing drivers with an emissions-free form of transportation and the ability to charge at home or a public-charging station, instead of worrying about fluctuating prices at the gas pump. Right now, is a great time to buy an EV!

🍁 Electrify Your Lawn

🎶 All the leaves are brown (All the leaves are brown) and the sky is gray (And the sky is gray) 🎶 and this means that the leaves are now all over our lawns and that is okay! Tree leaves are full of important nutrients for trees, lawns, and vegetables–we recommend you keep as many as you can on your property! Here are five ways to make leaves disappear quickly.

If you want to use a leaf blower or lawn mower, we hope that you make the switch to electric! Beyond the loud noises they generate; did you know that using a gas-powered leaf blower for an hour emits as much carbon monoxide as a car engine idling more than eight hours? Making the switch to electric leaf blowers is easy: they’re clean, emit less noise, and require less maintenance than gas-powered models.
